Wayne Norcliffe

Biography

Wayne Norcliffe is 55 years old (as at 2021) and has worked in the construction and property industries since leaving school in 1982. Starting off as an apprentice bricklayer and latterly running his own sub-contracting company employing upwards of ten specialist construction operatives.

Wayne returned to study as a mature student, studying a Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredited degree in Southampton, obtaining a 2i (HON’s) degree and finishing 2nd in his year.

Wayne obtained his Chartered Status in 2000 and is now a Fellow of the RICS, and has since been working as a practicing Chartered Surveyor for various companies, including Countrywide Surveyors, Tyser Greenwood Surveyors, Wolton Surveyors, JE Shepherd Surveyors, HSBC Bank, Bournemouth Borough Council, Southampton City Council, Poole Borough Council and National Car Parks Limited, along with working directly for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors as both an Assessor and Home Inspection Trainer over the years.

In addition to this Wayne has been a regular contributor to RICS and Governement policy decisions, including contributions to consultations such as Leasehold Reforms, Regulation of Property Advisors, along with RICS consultations including updating the RICS Home Survey suite of reports and external wall cladding commentaries.

Other qualifications include being a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers, formerly an Incorporated member of the Institute of Builders and Member of the Independent Surveyors and Valuers Association. Wayne is also qualified to undertake Expert Witness instructions on both commercial and residential properties and has a Masters in Project Management qualification.
