Paul Addison is a Development Risk Specialist with more than 35 years' experience in property development, land and planning, specialising in development risk affecting both residential and commercial property.

His expertise covers planning policy, development potential, SHELAA/SHLAA land, Local Plan allocations, emerging policy, planning applications and wider development proposals.

Paul founded DevAssist after identifying a gap in conventional property due diligence, the need to go beyond the raw planning data available through standard property searches. He recognised the need for specialist, human-led analysis to identify and interpret wider planning and development risks beyond the property boundary that could affect a property's enjoyment, value or marketability.

This analysis can identify potential future development sites where no planning application or relevant planning history may yet exist, providing a broader understanding of the development landscape surrounding a property.
