Jonathan Pryor

Biography

Jonathan has specialised in audit services for 30 years since qualification as a chartered accountant. Over that period, he has provided audit opinions on comfortably in excess of 1000 separate sets of financial statements.

Jonathan is also an expert on financial reporting under both UK GAAP and IFRS, performing numerous advisory projects for listed and non-listed corporates, assisting both the entity and their auditors to arrive at high quality technical solutions to accounting challenges.

Jonathan has acted on many professional negligence cases, with assignments for both claimants and defendants. Those cases have varied from solely UK-based businesses who were victims of fraud (with ISA(UK) 240 therefore being particularly significant) to international listed entities with complex financial reporting requirements (where Jonathan’s expertise on the full range of financial reporting and auditing standards has been invaluable). Jonathan also has experience of appearing in court and being subjected to cross-examination
