Biography

I have a wide-ranging experience of commercial disputes. I previously worked at a highly-ranked professional negligence firm, Kennedys, specialising in the defence of professional negligence claims. Whilst there, I was seconded to a global insurance firm as a case handler for high-value and often international professional negligence claims.My defendant professional negligence background uniquely positions me to advise clients, who are usually claimants, as I understand how insurers and their solicitors approach cases from a risk perspective and how this factors into settlement discussions and their reserves for the claim. Accordingly, many of my cases have settled early, with excellent outcomes for clients. This experience also helps me advise clients at an early stage as to whether their claims are worth pursuing.

I am at the forefront of Kingsley Napley's Professional Negligence Team. My specialism is dealing with claims against solicitors, barristers, accountants and surveyors. As Legal Director, I have assumed the lead on a number of cases, as well as working with some of the more junior members of the team to develop their expertise.
