Solicitor, Senior Counsel, Notary Public, Arbitrator and Accredited Mediator who has acted for plaintiffs and defendants in professional negligence actions as well as acting as a arbitrator, expert witness and mediator in Ireland, UK and the US.
One of only 17 Solicitors in Ireland granted the title of Senior Counsel (2020).
Author of Lawyers' Professional Negligence and Insurance (Ireland 2013).
Director/Shareholder/Company Sec. of 22 limited liability companies.
As an accredited mediator he is a strong advocate of Alternative Dispute Resolution, having served as the Chair of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in Ireland, Director of the Mediators Institute of Ireland and member of the ADR Committee of the Law Society of Ireland, as well as being a member of the Irish Commercial Mediators Association.
Bill served 36 years as an Executive Committee Member of the Irish Maritime Law Association, and is a Titulary Member of the Comité Maritime International, a Founder Member & Committee Member of Restructuring & Insolvency Ireland and is a consultant to the Law School of the Law Society of Ireland, as well as being a member of the Law Society Curriculum Development Unit.
