Biography

Adam represents high net worth individuals and financial institutions in tax-related commercial litigation. He has significant experience of actions for misrepresentation, breach of contract and unlawful means conspiracy.

Expertise
Adam is particularly focused on tax-related commercial litigation. He has also acted in general commercial and financial services disputes.

Experience
Adam has advised in a range of commercial disputes, including:

claims by seven local authorities against a well-known financial institution for rescission of LOBO loans
an application to set aside a $2.4bn freezing injunction granted over assets in the British Virgin Islands by the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court
a $600m unlawful means conspiracy action against a Lebanese domiciled company and various directors

Career
Adam graduated with a first-class honours degree in law from Durham University before obtaining an LLM (specialising in commercial law) from the University of Cambridge. He subsequently received a distinction for his Legal Practice Course.

Adam trained at a major US law firm and worked as an associate at two London-based litigation boutiques before joining Stewarts in January 2020.

Publications
Adam has co-authored an article, published in the New Law Journal, addressing the legal mechanisms available to parties unable to perform their contractual obligations as a result of Brexit.

Personal
Adam enjoys most ball sports (particularly cricket), music (he plays the piano, guitar and drums), history and attending the theatre.
