Jenny Hutchinson

Biography

Jenny Hutchinson specialises in professional negligence claims against solicitors, conveyancers, brokers, estate agents, loss assessors, financial advisers and surveyors.

Jenny trained and qualified at a top London professional indemnity and insurance law firm and worked there for over a decade defending professional indemnity and insurance claims.

In 2018 Jenny used the knowledge she had gained in defending professional negligence claims to move to acting for claimants. She works as a Consultant Solicitor for Wynterhill LLP alongside other members of the Wynterhill professional negligence and insurance team. She has an invaluable insight into how the professional indemnity insurer will defend the claim and uses this to the advantage of her clients.

Jenny has experience in claims against a wide range of professionals and can advise on prospects, quantum and funding options. Her experience includes pre-action disputes, having brought and settled many claims under the Professional Negligence Pre-Action Protocol; Alternative Dispute Resolution, having settled cases at mediation and arbitration to avoid the formal court process and the formal court process having litigated many disputes with a good procedural knowledge of the court system.

Jenny is knowledgeable, down to earth, approachable and hard working. She strives to achieve positive results for her clients.

In recent years Jenny has represented clients in group litigation professional negligence claims against their solicitor or conveyancer, arising from the inadequate advice given in respect of their purchase of an alleged investment in a fractional sales or off-plan property scheme.
